Improving Canberra’s ageing health infrastructure has always been a low priority for the Labor-Greens government.
Just last year, it was revealed there were 147 extreme and high risks identified in The Canberra Hospital’s infrastructure, including in the main switchboard where fire broke out.
The Canberra Liberals had a plan at the last election, endorsed by the AMA, to redevelop the heart of The Canberra Hospital. Had we been elected that work would already be underway.
Fixing our ageing health infrastructure and delivering better health services has always been our highest priority.
